Flag with Us

As a South Australian GLBTI flagging troupe we conduct weekly workshops/rehearsals to enhance fitness, improve flagging technique, socialise, and to prepare for corporate events or performances where we represent our community. We have so much fun!

Being 'all inclusive' we welcome all those interested. Originally this troupe was set up exclusively for gay men however we have changed our view on this and have opened up membership to all GLBTI people to enhance and boost this unique community troupe, and this wonderful craft!

We are not all professionals yet, however we believe professionalism is a good mindset to be our best. Above all we are out to have some healthy fun doing new things to the best of our ability, whilst learning new skills and meeting new people.

We would prefer that Flagmanians participate in at least the annual Adelaide Gay and Lesbian Pride March, while participation in other events will be at the discretion of the choreographer.

Sleaze Ball: Sleaze Ball was on Saturday 17th November. FLAGMANIA were on the podiums again spinning our new fluoro tie dye flags all night long in all 3 rooms! Lots of great feedback and some new interest for involvement next year too! If you saw us there and had a chat we would love to hear from you so we can contact you for new shows and events or to just get fit!

Feast Picnic Day: Our second last event for 2007 was informal flagging at the Picnic Day on Sunday 25th Nov at the notorious Veale Gardens, North Terrace, Adelaide! We had the opportunity to do some impromptu tutorials with people in the dance area on this day. What a busy perfect day flagging in the sun! If you were one of those people and want to join us or just learn more then contact us!

KWP Christmas Party at Mars Bar: FLAGMANIA were paid to perform at this great venue for KWP Advertising's end of year bash! What a blast this was! This was our last gig for 2007! Phew!

NOTE: No More rehearsals or shows are planned for 2007. If you're interested in joining the troupe for next year, CONTACT US NOW so we can plan ahead for the new year!    :D

FLAGMANIA uses email as a powerful tool to interact during the week to discuss events, share ideas and information, organise promotions and make midweek decisions.

As a member of Flagmania, it's important you have a working email address that you check regularly, as each members input is a vital part of the decision making process.

Of course we also use SMS nearer events so any contact numbers would be appreciated.
